Fly TWA Jets - Greece by David Klein (c. 1960s)
Fly TWA Jets - Greece by David Klein (c. 1960s)
This Greece poster, created by the talented American artist David Klein (1918–2005), features a profile of a Greek soldier wearing a Corinthian helmet. Klein portrays the soldier in a classical style reminiscent of ancient Greek pottery, likely using red and black tones to evoke the look of traditional Greek vases. The helmet also incorporates imagery resembling marble sculptural reliefs, including a centaur and a nude male figure on horseback. The poster beautifully recalls Greece’s grand classical heritage and serves as an elegant design aimed at promoting tourism.
Size*:
25" x 40"
Condition:
Good to Very Good
Rolled.
Border wear along upper right edge, with a small chip on that corner. Neither will be very apparent once the poster is framed. Great strong colors, especially the reds which tend to fade over time. We suggest UV safe plexiglass (as we do with all collectible posters).
