Goofy Stock Poster with How To Play Football Vintage Australian Daybill (R c. 1940s)
Goofy Stock Poster with How To Play Football Vintage Australian Daybill (R c. 1940s)
Australian stock daybill for Walt Disney animated comedy cartoons starring Goofy in his "How To..." series of sports and recreation cartoons (including How To Play Football, Olympic Champ, How To Fish, and surely others). The poster has great images of Goofy skiing and boxing, along with a giant close up. It was probably printed in the mid-to-late 1940s or early 1950s. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area, and sometimes the studio would overprint the title of a specific movie, sometimes they sent a series of paper snipes for specific titles, and sometimes the theater would just write in the name of the film.
