Southern Pacific Railroad - Reno Racing Season and Baer vs Uzcudun Boxing (1931)
Southern Pacific Railroad - Reno Racing Season and Baer vs Uzcudun Boxing (1931)
Southern Pacific Railroad poster advertising reduced rates to see the Reno racing season. Nice bold inks, with the red unfaded (this color especially tends to fade over time).
Note the Jack Dempsey promoted fight between Max Baer vs. Paulino Uzcudun. This was actually a pretty big fight. According to a United Press correspondent: “Special trains by the score, automobiles by the hundreds and airplanes by the dozen poured into the famous divorce metropolis from the Pacific Coast. From the sandy wastes of Nevada came prospectors on burros, cowboys on horseback and ranchers in buckboard wagons.”

Condition:
Very Good
Rolled.
Small pinholes in the corners. A very light blue mark in the upper left area. Does not really detract much because so much is going on in this poster. Colors are strong and unfaded. Printed on heavier paper stock.
