Southern Pacific Railroad - San Mateo Horse Show (c. 1930s)
Southern Pacific Railroad - San Mateo Horse Show (c. 1930s)
A Southern Pacific Railroad poster advertising reduced travel rates to the International Jumping Contest. The San Mateo County National Horse Show was held at the Menlo Circus Club (which still exists today). This is a bold graphic design in red and black. A really nice example of classic Southern Pacific posters. Note that the red ink is still really bold and vibrant, with no fading (red inks especially tend to fade over time).
Size*:
16" x 23"
Condition:
Very Good
Rolled.
Lower right corner has a small fold line (there is no paper missing, just folded back in the photo). There is a very little edge wear. Some grime in the border, mostly in the lower left. Very bright red ink, no apparent fading.
